earlier this week the boy and i took a road trip to santa barbara. we both wished it was longer... but it was still good to get away. wandering, reading, relaxing in the sun, drinking coffee and talking about the differences between the trees in l.a. and the central coast. they seemed a bit more free and wild up there...

these were taken a couple weeks ago when i went to see inception. i loved it. leonardo dicaprio is brilliant as ever, but man marion cotillard... what a stunner. i mean she is no doubt a brilliant actress (see la vie en rose if you haven't) but on top of that she is gorgeous! and she was THE ultimate ghostly beauty in inception.

yup, this is one of the scarves i got at f21 last time i was there... yes, those are little puff balls hanging from it... and yes, i got it in black too. the black doesn't have the lace like this one, but i love them both.

sometimes i dream in velvet

more photos from the paramour... it really is like a dream. the most gorgeous skyline view of l.a. and the trickle of the pool would be enough to keep me from venturing away for a longlong time...



the dress was a birthday present to myself (months ago) and i just haven't worn it... but i absolute adore it. the length, the silk, the colors... this is one of those dresses that makes you feel better as soon as you slide it on. have you seen the fall winter kate preview? i love it and have my eye on a few pieces... maybe i will post my favorites :)

how is your summer wrapping up? i'm eating a lot of fruit, watching tons of movies at home, taking short walks, drinking lots of iced coffee and will hopefully be taking a road trip next week. i finished true blood season 2 and i'm almost wishing i had t.v./cable so i wouldn't have to wait for season 3. i also finished rome... what shall i do with myself? haha... i think i may start heros. any movie suggestions?

i'd love to have an outdoor living space...
big comfy pillows, the shade of trees.... heaven. i'd be outside all the time... reading, eating, sleeping...

this is the beginning of a series of photos shot at the paramour. yes, i am a lucky grrl. and the paramour is beyond beautiful. it was built in 1923 and is now the personal residence of the amazing designer dana hollister. a thousand kisses to you dana!!!

i love these jeans... i really don't like using the term jeggings... it just doesn't feel right. but i guess that is what these are... anywhoo they are becoming a quick favorite and i hope h&m makes them in black come fall :) so yeah, i went back to h&m... i had to have this headband in white :)

5/summer has finally arrived here in l.a. and i'm loving it!
6/i wear minnetonka moccasins like everyday. i swear by them. i don't really do flip flops.
6/i haven't been eating cheese lately... but dang this lunch was GOOD...

lovin this poncho and will definitely grab it if i can. it isn't exactly mind blowing, but it is VERY me :)

there were also lots of other great pieces... including some amazing coats, but here in southern cali it just doesn't get that cold and i own a few great coats already.

maybe i just have a lot of summer stuff... this week i got this striped sweater from f21 along with two light weight scarfs that have pompoms.... yes! i love them... can't wait to show you. the sweater rocks too... sooo smooshy. you can find it on their website which i linked below. they also have it in other colors... hmmmm???
the headband is from h&m and is prolly the best $5 spent on something new... gonna go back for the white...
