being curled up with a good book with no where to be

falling in love

having a broken heart

finding a brown paper package at your door

hearing an old favorite on the radio while stuck in traffic

picking a scab

the perfect peacoat... especially if it's secondhand and cheap :)

this blouse is perfect... so much so that i want the white and/or tank versions...

and these pants... well they are purple, velvet, vintage and have an elastic waistband... yeah i've worn them A LOT lately

i kinda love them both.... the second pair is just kinda weird. a dr suess cross between docs/hiking boot/90s mom shoe.... hmmmmm. but oh-so-perfect. reminds me of something i would have totally worn in 9th grade. with crazy checkered tights or something.

anyhow, i really shouldn't buy either. the top are like all my shoes.. but that is good because i know they will get worn A LOT. i wish i could buy both. what happened to me? when did i become so responsible.... i used to just buy something if i liked it and had the cash. i like eating i guess.

she dreams in blue and doesn't want to wake

the night before these photos i dreamt in blue. yes, i did and i so enjoyed it that i wanted to carry it over to my conscious state. i don't own a lot of blue, but i made do adding in greys and tans. marine vibes accomplished. i've had the ribbon for years. i think it came on a gift... i used to wear it tied around my waist over vintage dresses and slips

i'm sooo fond of the isabel marant meshness that has been making the rounds on blogs and have been stalking vintage cousins on etsy to much avail! i found this sky blue one ($11) and recently a red long tank style version ($5) that will be bleached pinkish tonight. i'm also considering bleaching this one as i don't wear that much blue... but i'm not sure yet

i drink iced coffee out of the cup above every single day... i bought it at goodwill and it makes me happy

random kind of weekend... wore this to a birthday party friday night. this top is one of my favorites (i normally wear it backwards). it has all the qualities i look for.. loose, lightweight, gauzy with just the right amount of pirategypsyness :) the shorts are from... e t s y... surprise surprise. a deal too...

anyhow... i want some noodles... and to watch some really good flicks this week.... and to go to the beach...

i watched gangs of new york again last week... love that movie. any suggestions for great movies? i like sci-fi, fantasy, period pieces & art/music films....
