the last 7 days have included a trip to el matador, levis, the song remains the same and under great white northern lights overandover, daydreaming about tents and stars, thrifting, getting sick, wearing pajamas for 3 days straight, lots of tea and soup, three broken dishes, spending too much time on cosmicdust (check it out) and some very odd dreams... r.i.p dennis hopper.

i know it's unhealthy to obsess over a material object. an album... yes, the perfectly sweetened iced coffee... yes, paris in spring... yes. although i guess an iced coffee is a material object.. well, you get the picture.

but, yes, i want this dress. it's knitted stipey extra long sleeved perfection would receive much love from me...

some bad energy came my way this week... i'm normally pretty good at not absorbing it... and although i'm proud of myself for not getting "into" it i am definitely unmotivated. it's amazing how bad energy can kill motivation... that's why it's important to surround yourself with good people. creative people. kind people. but anyways, i haven't been myself this week...

made this skirt this week out of a HUGE thrifted muumuu... was gonna sell it, then i put it on. it was worn all weekend. i love things that can be worn out, in and in bed. took a needed drive up the coast... iced chai, wild flowers, sea air and an iridescent sunset. came back to reality today and realized that it's time to move on to better things.

they were taken at the l.a. river and china town. the wings were already there. it was magical

i did a lot this weekend. and now the monday morning coffee commences...
i just had a birthday, which was perfect... i don't normally do much (my perfect bdays include lots of smiling)... and this year was great... the park, sushi and the bf bought me the nation boots that i have been eying. and i bought myself too many presents including this cardi ♥ these suspenders were a present from my bf last year and this is the first time i've worn them. just not a lavender kinda grrl... but i think they have made friends with these trousers that are a bit big and need some help staying up.
