i don't really have much to say.

i'm having a hard time getting in gear.  i am pretty much a doer, but i just can't seem to focus on bigger things right now.  time to rip another sweater i guess.  i just want to travel and smell different smells and eat in the middle of the night on a warm beach.  seems simple, but well i guess it's just not.

best vintage find - my trench.  it's perfect.  like it was tailored for me. navy.  $10. salvation army.  i don't wear it often, but when i finally grow up it'll be there in my closet in all it's perfectness.

favorite places to shop - online(ebay for designer/brands/rare and etsy for vintage/independent designers), goodwill and a handful of other thriftstores.  i also lust after things on other sites like oaknyc, ssence or opening ceremony.  but often enough i find their vintage/independently handmade cousins :)

three random facts about you unrelated to fashion - i cook A LOT.  i am NOT a morning person.  i try to be as green as i can be.

i just started doing jigsaw puzzles. two in the last week. and i haven't been getting out much.... but i did meet my mom at souplantation... that is where these photos were taken. so it really isn't an outfit post. i mean it is, but not really. i just went out to eat and i ate lots and then i took these photos... yep that's how it went.

anymore recommendations on good black skinnies? come on help a grrl out.

i'm thinking of writing another zine.... but big grrl status, since i was like 16 last time. do ya'll read zines? like homespun ones?

these were taken a couple weeks ago... before the rain...

i love overalls... i used to wear them ALL the time and have been searching for some for a while. i thought my best bet was aardvarks or something and then i randomly came across these at h&m. yea, i don't usually find great stuff there like a lot of bloggers do... but i've got three things(including this sweater) in the last month... score! i've come to the conclusion that the one near me isn't the greatest... so now i go to another location...

anyhow... i hope everyone has a great sunday! i'm off to enjoy the brilliant day!

this dress is one of my favorite etsy purchases to date. it is soo soft and fits like a dream.... check out the tarantula sisters for more amazing vintage. i really recommend scouring etsy for vintage... there are lots of high priced shops(with AMAZING pieces), but if you take the time you can find lots of shops with a style niche and decent prices. i mostly shop at goodwill and salvation army, but there are times when i am looking for something in particular and etsy has delivered... right now i have my eye on quite a few pieces and hopefully some of them will be mine soon :) gotta finish my christmas shopping first though :P

i went to see the black swan this weekend! it was unbelievable... a true fairytale... well, my kind of fairytale... very dark, but deep and beautiful as well...

i also recommend the 10 questions for the dalai lama and jean-michel basquiat: the radiant child. i watched both multiple times in the last few days.... i did have to return them today, but am considering buying both
