somehow i just feel more me in open air

lovin this bikini top... if you don't want your top coming off when you dive in this one is great... and the bottoms well... yeah i kinda just love them...  super comfy and they also come in red and mint.  yay for odd tan lines :)  annnd i love these unif sunglasses... definitely want them in black as well now.  my summer staples are quickly coming together...

earlier this week the boy and i took a road trip to santa barbara. we both wished it was longer... but it was still good to get away. wandering, reading, relaxing in the sun, drinking coffee and talking about the differences between the trees in l.a. and the central coast. they seemed a bit more free and wild up there...

i believe we were at santa ynez....
northern beaches are so beautiful.. the greenery is different...
i'm itching like a grrl who walked through poison oak to hit the road. we shall see what i can actually make happen though.
i feel so disappointed in humans right now. maybe i watch too many apocalyptic movies. but everywhere i turn things that make me sad are happening. and i'm trying to keep going like a soldier and i do, but i'm also trying to figure out my part besides using canvas grocery bags if you know what i mean...
anyways enough babbling...

i play my music in the sun

north of santa barbara... it was beautiful. the traffic horrendous.
didn't do much last week... so when saturday rolled around i drove down to goodwill to get some fresh air... and i'm glad i did as i found this blouse... soo perfect for any kind of layering... and the music gods blessed me with the rolling stones, jimi and zep on the way..
the headband came from salvation and this is the first time i've worn it. in my head i kept seeing it on a head of long hair, but i caved and it still works sans the juliet locks

the last 7 days have included a trip to el matador, levis, the song remains the same and under great white northern lights overandover, daydreaming about tents and stars, thrifting, getting sick, wearing pajamas for 3 days straight, lots of tea and soup, three broken dishes, spending too much time on cosmicdust (check it out) and some very odd dreams... r.i.p dennis hopper.

made this skirt this week out of a HUGE thrifted muumuu... was gonna sell it, then i put it on. it was worn all weekend. i love things that can be worn out, in and in bed. took a needed drive up the coast... iced chai, wild flowers, sea air and an iridescent sunset. came back to reality today and realized that it's time to move on to better things.
