he caught me sweet talking my coffee...

earlier this week the boy and i took a road trip to santa barbara. we both wished it was longer... but it was still good to get away. wandering, reading, relaxing in the sun, drinking coffee and talking about the differences between the trees in l.a. and the central coast. they seemed a bit more free and wild up there...

i'd love to have an outdoor living space...
big comfy pillows, the shade of trees.... heaven. i'd be outside all the time... reading, eating, sleeping...

this is the beginning of a series of photos shot at the paramour. yes, i am a lucky grrl. and the paramour is beyond beautiful. it was built in 1923 and is now the personal residence of the amazing designer dana hollister. a thousand kisses to you dana!!!

i love these jeans... i really don't like using the term jeggings... it just doesn't feel right. but i guess that is what these are... anywhoo they are becoming a quick favorite and i hope h&m makes them in black come fall :) so yeah, i went back to h&m... i had to have this headband in white :)

i'm starting to lose track of time... i think these were taken two weekends ago... but i'm not sure. maybe i need coffee... but i'm trying to cut back a bit... just one more.
i got this skirt for two bucks at goodwill... they had a skirt half off day...

1/i wasn't hiking in the last outfit post... i parked right next to where i took the photos :) i am more than comfortable walking in heels for hours on end, but i don't have a death wish haha!

5/summer has finally arrived here in l.a. and i'm loving it!
6/i wear minnetonka moccasins like everyday. i swear by them. i don't really do flip flops.
6/i haven't been eating cheese lately... but dang this lunch was GOOD...

i play my music in the sun

north of santa barbara... it was beautiful. the traffic horrendous.
didn't do much last week... so when saturday rolled around i drove down to goodwill to get some fresh air... and i'm glad i did as i found this blouse... soo perfect for any kind of layering... and the music gods blessed me with the rolling stones, jimi and zep on the way..
the headband came from salvation and this is the first time i've worn it. in my head i kept seeing it on a head of long hair, but i caved and it still works sans the juliet locks

last weekend i picked up this sally hansen nail polish (all fired up) at cvs which is an almost perfect match (red/orange) to my beloved ysl lip gloss (tangy orange 7). at first i wasn't sure if i was fond of the wide rounded flat brush, but i soon realized it was perfect. i was out the door with one coat and it looked great :) i'm all about easy as far as cosmetics go.... and really can't do nail polish that requires tons of coats because it is almost certain i will smudge it. sooo, cvs + one coat + fairly inexpensive=perfect. and the colors are great, i picked up commander in chief last night and there is also a deep plum i want. get them online here.
and i'm also really picky about what i put on my face... so this ysl lip gloss is perfect because there isn't an overwhelming taste or smell, it lasts and the color is just the right amount to make me look alive but not too overwhelming...
just thought i'd share :)
